because despite talking about them every waking moment on twitter, i want to talk more about them. chenjism is a disease and i have it.


for reference, these are their love languages for each other, because they have varied dynamix with the dreamies (yes i am specifically talking jenle bc we all know i'm secretly a jenle shipper who tf are nomin and chen— i lie, i feel very deeply for chenji whoops)

before i talk about love languages i will do my obligatory, repetitive chenji soulmatery speech bc — imagine meeting your soulmate when you were what seven in a foreign country when y'all didn't even speak the same language bc y'all are both talented at that young age ???? (and owning the same ipod and playing some stupid animal ambush game) and then getting into the same company in a different country, and then debuting as a part of the saming fudging group like what type of fckery is that ???? red strings and what not y'all make me believe.

anyways —

1. park jwisung

this boy. i just— he is a manifestation of me in so many ways, and that extends to love languages. and his topmost, for me, seems to be acts of affirmation. jisung unfortunately has some complexes ??? about how he looks, and you can see he feels better every time chenle turns it around and says they're his charms (and chenle seems to know this bc he does this everytime jisung tries to put himself down) case in point watch this from 2:31—4:40, 8:42—9:21. also in general you'll see that he lights up at chenle's compliments in cjtat as well (if i start linking i'll just spend so long linking stuff)

BUT THAT BEING SAID — park jisung responds to every single love language (hence why i said he is my literal manifestation) when it comes to chenle. he likes when chenle cooks for him ("my fav member is chenle bc he cooked for me yesterday"), aka acts of service, quality time ("when's the next chenji's this and that? don't you want to film with me?"), physical touch (as much as he pretends to hate it), and to some extent receiving gifts too although i can't immediately think of an example apart from the time chenle got him his birthday cake . . . edit; also when chenle gave him the stephen curry phone case for his birthday (thank you for reminding me of this, marji) and the fact that he still uses the keyring that chenle made for him in cjtat.

anyways all that to say park jisung deserves all the love, and he tenderhearts in the same fashion over zhong chenle who's a little goblin (who loves jisung but won't show it apart from in aggression) which brings me to . . .

2. zhong chenle

first and foremost, bc we all knew i was gonna talk about it — pls aggression is a love language and zhong chenle constantly utilizes it against park jisung. he's literally aggressively gentle like he'll for sure yell at jisung to take care of himself instead of telling him softly like the whole point of his sentence is. and the recent WHAT ARE YOU DOING i see you zhong chenle your aggression is reserved for one person <3

also just this — look at how FONDLY he fights with parkjisung pls zhongchenle your jisung park tunnel vision is showing beneath that tsundere exterior

but also, "i don't know... to be honest, i tease jisung because it is also a way of me saying that i like that person. if i like that person, then i'll tease that person a lot." — zhong chenle, 2020 (here's the reference also he looked so good in that live gdi aeri your chenle tunnel vision is showing shut up.)

on a more official (???) note, i think chenle's dominant love language with jisung is quality time. look at him ???? he has openly claimed he "dreamed" about spending time in shanghai with jisung (it's a little more subtle in korean what he meant to say was that he'd thought about wanting to go there with jisung before). like he's so fudging excited and it's just so cute to me that he is. and not just bc of the hometown thing bc it was specfic, here (4:45) where he goes "i dreamed about going to that specific laser tag place with jisung" like hi ??? honestly this whole video is testament of how excited he was at the prospect of spending time with jisung in his hometown. he also took jisung to see his nephew like i ??? wouldn't take my best friend to see my new born nephew he's something else truly.

also in this episode, he says he wants to travel with jisung anywhere/everywhere here (9:24)

in general i think chenji's this and that, all their livestreams, and the amount of times chenle mentions jisung even on personal broadcasts is enough to tell you he really does appreciate spending time with jisung.

on the side, i also see affirmation as a potential love language. proofs 1 (8:40) | 2 when he acknowldges chenle's humour and indulges him a second time, pls chenle's so happy — he really does light up when jisung compliments him like you can see how truly happy he becomes. in general, jisung has a tendency of truly complimenting chenle and chenle LOVES them.

also apparently physical touch (he DOES hug or like just put his hand on jisung's head a lot ??? but he's more touchy with other members, esp mark and jeno) here

okay now that that's out of the way here's some of my favourite chenji moments bc i'm !!! a fool for them !!!

when they sang trigger the fever together | park jisung you tenderhearted fool | this is self indulgent i need a chenji cover for falling pls thanks | this chenji boating date is also very special to me <3 | when jisung had to increase a member's heartbeat by being cute, and he was trying it on jeno except ZHONG CHENLE ????? went from 84 to 107 he's BIASED MY LORD

i should really stop, i have so many favourite moments. when you're the most fed as a chenjist or wtv. i stan the right ship methinks.

i'm sorry i know this was just about love languages and instead i was also going into how ji and chenle act around each other which is like the opposite of love languages bc it's the giving end and not the receiving end and that's a whole other topic but i couldn't resist.

also i clearly had more content links for chenle bc !!! the tunnel vision is real !!!!
